Our kids are active. These socks looked awesome straight out of the package, but they wear quickly and shrink in the wash. They also become pilly.I'm sure if you're gentle with them you could keep them nicer for a longer time. for us a couple months was like it. but they're not getting holes so that's niceUpdate 3/6/22 the socks r pillowing not holding up well, starting to get thin in the toe area & heel. elastic is still strong. Buy a 1)2 or full size bigger. Would I buy them again, no. They r ok for the money.I was plesently surprised how nice they look & they r thick & comfy. They work well in cold temperature not that it's all that cold in northern CA like back east.I HV not wash them yet so I'll update here once I do & let u know how well they hold up. ? Maybe 5 stars if they r durable?They shrink up a bit but very cozy. Like any wool sock they can shrink. Kids love them. Would buy again for winter.I had bought them to go with 9c Rain-boots & originally bought 1-3y. Exchanging them now for the next size up to see if we get the length I was hoping for.I purchased these socks for my 7 y.o. granddaughter who wears a size 1 shoe. I wanted soft, warm socks for her to wear this winter instead of her usual footlet socks. The sizing information provided is by age of child instead of shoe size, which I find impractical. Socks should be sized according to shoe size. Therefore, I was struggled with the sizing decision: 7 years, or the 8-12 years size? I went with the 8-12 year size. I am very thankful I did. They fit her perfectly. I imagine that size would be too small for a older or larger child. If your child wears a youth shoe size 3 or larger, I believe these socks will be too small. The socks do seem fairly soft and warm.Finally found some actual WARM socks for my boys. Ordered from a couple different big box stores and they were either just normal thin cotton or adult size when advertised as kids winter socks....these are great! Will fit both my 3 & 5 year old just fine. Nice, thick & WARMBought these for our 3 1/2 year old son. These have been super comfy, warm winter socks for him. 10/10 would buy again.Very warm socks and comfortable not itch for kids to wear on colder days or in the snowLook like they are of great quality, my son went to sleep in them as he didn’t want to take them off. We will see how to wash. Will update accordingly if necessary.Update: these socks after one wear look very worn…. The wool clumps together more than other socks we’ve had. Would not recommend.Product fits great. So comfy and squishy. Not itchy at all! Very soft. I machine wash and dry with no shrinkage. They did get a lot of lint on them though.These socks are lovely but fit very small. After one delicate wash they are like baby socks. My 10 year old still tries to stretch then back out but it doesn’t work.When my son got these they were too small and one of the socks looked like they were worn,My daughters loves these and she is very picky. They are thick but not too thick.
